Through exploration and control of the physical body, yogis aspire to attain control of the mind and discover their true being. With the removal of the ego and the personal awareness of compassion the yoga path is a prescription for living.
Participants will learn the techniques of Concentrative and Mindful meditation, which helps to relieve stress, increase blood flow, lower blood pressure, enhance the immune system, decrease muscle tension, prevent headaches and reduce anxiety.
The short course is for anyone interested in exploring the benefits of Yoga and Meditation to improve lifestyle and health, promote longevity and continue to discover their true self.
This includes:

Introduction to breathing techniques (pranayama)

Practice of yoga postures that support and nurture the physical body (asana)

Exploring different meditation techniques that assist to focus, slow down and centre the mind.
The short course is held over one day from 9am-4.30pm.
This course is accredited with the Australian Natural Therapists Association for 6.5 CPE points.
Please wear comfortable loose clothing appropriate for a yoga practice and bring a small rug or blanket for meditation.
